Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Adventure

This wonderful guided adventure to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon along the Southern Coast of Iceland is a fantastic way to get a lot in for a single day trip.  Some of the highlights of the tour include Fjarðárgljúfur Gorge, Skaftafell National Park, Lómagnúpur Mountain, Stjórnarfoss Waterfall, Foss á Síðu and Vatnajökull Glacier.

Although doing this tour in a day is doable, it makes a very long day driving. Therefore, we do this tour as a three-day adventure, giving you plenty of opportunities to experience not only the wonderful scenery along the way but also the lovely hotels and diverse activities. 

With a three-day Jökulsárlon Glacier Lagoon Adventure we would normally divide the trip as follows:

Day 1: Thorsmörk and Eyfjallajökull Adventure

Spend the night in either the town of Vik or Kirkjubæjarklaustur (depending on lodging availability)

Day 2: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Adventure

Spend another night in either the town of Vik or Kirkjubæjarklaustur (depending on lodging availability)

Day 3: Waterfalls and Volcanoes Adventure

Options for activities include boat rides on the lagoon, either Zodiac or Amphibian; horseback riding; glacier hikes and climbs;  and ATV tours on the black sand beaches of the south coast. There are also a number of wonderful hotels along the way if you decide to extend this day tour further.
